About

Exoplanet detection is the study and observation of planets outside of our solar system. Scientists use a variety of techniques to detect exoplanets, including the transit method (measuring the slight dimming of a star as a planet passes in front of it), the radial velocity method (detecting the wobble of a star caused by the gravitational pull of an orbiting planet), and direct imaging (capturing images of exoplanets directly). By studying exoplanets, researchers hope to learn more about the diversity of planetary systems in our galaxy and potentially discover habitable worlds.
